As we get closer and closer to the next phase of the D.C. Universe, a phrase that will likely get pretty tiring before it is all said and done, the rumors of new characters are coming out almost daily. In super hero movies every fan gets their hopes up that their favorite character will be brought to life. With most fans ready to line up for the upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’ on day one, the rest of us just got another reason to with the addition of Scott Eastwood as Deathstroke.

Scott Eastwood is the son of Hollywood legend Clint and he is forging out on his own to make a name in the industry. Scott most recently had a supporting role in the critically acclaimed ‘Fury’ and now it looks like he’ll get another shot at a Hollywood blockbuster in the form of ‘Suicide Squad’ when he takes up the mantle of Deathstroke.

According to Susan McGalla, Deathstroke is a fan favorite character and one that should be plenty of fun to see on screen. Eastwood has the physicality to portray the violent role but we wonder if he’ll be able to show off enough chops to nail the drama that will be needed for it as well.

Eastwood was initially rumored to be playing Steve Trevor, a love interest for Wonder Woman, but it appears that Chris Pine will be taking over that role — at least according to the rumors.
