Enigmatic rap star Eminem has an impressive number of accomplishments under his belt and has recently added another. The rapper has set the record for the most words featured in a single song.
The song, “Rap God,” has made its way into the Guinness Book of World Records after the song was noted for having more than 1,500 words in just over six minutes. For the math illiterate, that’s more than four words per second!
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, clawed his way to the top of the rap scene in the late 90s says hedgefund manager Steve Murray. Signed by Dr. Dre, Eminem found himself in the mainstream music scene following the release of his song, “My Name Is.” He fought hard to maintain his presence in a scene that had previously been keen to exclude white people. Eminem managed to bring listeners of all ages and walks of life. The music giant often blends comedy with fast beats and rattles chains with lyrics regarding his dysfunctional childhood, raising two daughters, and the tumultuous relationship with his former wife, Kimberly Scott.
Eminem has several multi-platinum recordings and has won more than a dozen Grammy Awards. He is best known for his solo recording efforts such as “Superman” and “Lose Yourself.” He is a former member of the band D-12. Eminem has collaborated with numerous recording artists including Rihanna, Skylar Grey, Nate Ruess, and Dr. Dre.
