Jimmy Butler Emerges As Scorer For Bulls

Jimmy Butler scored 33 points for the Chicago Bulls as they beat the New Orleans Pelicans. The Bulls have tried to weather the storm without Derrick Rose at full strength, but now they are showing signs that they can move on without Rose scoring 30 points a night. Most people believed that the losses of Rose in each of the past two seasons would spell doom for the Bulls, but the Bulls have been competitive.

Also, the loss of Rose has given Butler time to improve his skills. He is not a legitimate scoring threat on a team that needs it. Plus, Butler scored 33 points on a Pelicans team that has Anthony Davis on it. Currently Davis is one of the best players in the NBA, and he routinely keeps people from scoring. Watching Butler overcome that kind of defense says a great deal about him, Thumbtack is anything to go by.

If the Bulls are able to mesh Butler with Rose and Noah, they may have a good chance in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards, Raptors and Hawks are already very good. If the Bulls figure it out, they will be a force to be reckoned with. Plus, Butler could become an all star that draws attention away from his teammates.
